About Stacey
Stacey was born in Chicago and raised in Omaha, Nebraska. Her grandparents came to Torch Lake in the 1950s and her parents became year-round residents in the 1990s. Stacey has resided fulltime in Antrim County since 2003. Her son Charlie (Paddy) Pfarrer attended Bellaire and Elk Rapids schools before graduating from The Citadel (S.C.) with a degree in International Studies.
Stacey is married to Steve Rowe, whose family has deep roots in Antrim County as well. Steve’s brother, Brad, served as Bellaire Chief of Police, and her sister-in-law Annie is a friend to many here. Stacey is a proud stepmother to three lovely and accomplished young women, Anya, Grace, and Keely. Two rescue pups round out the household.
Stacey graduated from The Colorado College and obtained a law degree from the Creighton University School of Law in Omaha, Nebraska. She is licensed to practice and in good standing in Michigan and Nebraska.
Stacey is currently serving our community as Chief Assistant Prosecuting Attorney for Antrim County. Her responsibilities encompass trial work in Probate, District, and Circuit Court. Before serving as Chief Assistant, Stacey was selected by the 13th Circuit to serve as one of two referees for the Family Court. As referee, Stacey was responsible for assisting the Circuit Court judges by hearing family court matters and drafting opinions for the Court. This varied experience gives Stacey a unique perspective of how the legal system impacts a family.
Stacey is a member of the Grand Traverse Leelanau Antrim Bar Association serving until recently on its Board of Governors; the Michigan State Bar Association, and the Prosecuting Attorney’s Association of Michigan.
